Terms of Service

1. Overview

MefApp is a public scheduling tool, operated and published by MEF Labs, that lets creators connect their social media accounts and automatically publish content to those platforms at scheduled times. By creating an account or otherwise using MefApp (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Service. By using MefApp you confirm that each social media account you connect belongs to you or that you are authorized to manage it, and that your use complies with all applicable laws.

3. Description of the Service

MefApp allows authenticated users to connect a social media account through the platform's official OAuth flow, upload content, write captions, choose publishing options, and publish or schedule that content to the connected platforms. The Service can publish content directly to your profile or, where the platform supports it, save it as a draft for you to finalize in the platform's own app.

4. Your Responsibilities

• You are solely responsible for the content you publish through the Service, including captions, media and disclosures.
• You agree that all content you publish complies with the community guidelines and terms of service of each social media platform you publish to.
• You must keep your account credentials secure and must not use the Service to publish unlawful, infringing, misleading or harmful content, or to abuse the APIs of the connected social media platforms.

5. Acceptable Use

When using the Service, you agree that you will not:

• Publish content that is unlawful, infringing, deceptive, spammy, or that violates a connected platform's policies.
• Attempt to circumvent, overload, or interfere with the Service or the APIs of the connected social media platforms, including through automated abuse or rate-limit evasion.
• Access or use an account, data, or content that you are not authorized to use.
• Reverse engineer, resell, or misrepresent the Service.

6. Social Media Integration

MefApp integrates with social media platforms using their official login and content-publishing APIs. Your use of those platforms through the Service is also governed by each platform's own terms and policies. MefApp uses platform data only to provide the Service and in accordance with each platform's developer terms of service. MefApp is an independent product and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any social media platform.

7. Data & Privacy

Our handling of your information is described in our Privacy Policy. You can disconnect a social media account at any time from the Accounts page, which removes the associated tokens from our system. You may also revoke access at any time from the connected platform's account settings.

8. Service Availability & Changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service at any time, including because of changes to a connected platform's API or its policies. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability and are not responsible for publishing failures caused by a social media platform's API, your account status, or factors outside our control.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, misuse the Service or a connected platform's API, or where required to comply with a social media platform or the law. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends and the relevant data is deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that publishing to a social media platform will always succeed, as it depends on that platform's API and your account status. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Service.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of France, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute relating to the Service will be subject to the competent courts of Paris, France, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
